Wow what an all around wonderful experience. From the moment I walked in through the entirety of my dining experience, the service was on point. Everyone was so welcoming and consistently checked on me to ensure that I had everything I needed and inquired if I needed anything more. The wine I had was delicious and came as a suggestion from my server since they were out of what I originally ordered. The chips and salsa were beautifully done - warm and savory with amazing flavors. You can definitely tell it’s homemade. I had the lamb burger with fries for dinner and it was superb. I thoroughly enjoyed the nicely seasoned fries and fresh juicy burger. Flavor is the word of the meal, everything tasted fresh and flavorful. I love the humble beginnings story of the chef and restaurant as well. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in McAllen!
This a true gem to the valley. The atmosphere is amazing and really comforting. While we waited for our table the owner Diego, was chatting with all of us, taking out plates and making sure everyone is being helped. Hr embodies how every restaurant owner should be, he is a ture professional. The food was AMAZING! I got the Prevenza burger which was pure perfection, and the fry sauce is really the best fry sauce period. My wife got the lobster roll saying it was superb sweetness and soooo delicious. Well definitely be back again especially for my birthday and would love to try the ribeye steak 😋!!!!
Diego’s never disappoints. Had the whole family and they all loved their food. Highlight was the desserts as well. I personally got the Carnivore burger which may not be for everyone but I loved it!
I went with my sister and my niece and loved it. The owner’s dog, (old loaf, i think), is such a cutie pie. It was chilly, so we sat inside. I got the kids grilled cheese with bacon and a hibiscus lemonade, and it was delicious.
This place, holds a dear place in our hearts. The food was amazing. Drinks were delicious. The service was out of this world. Greeted by the owner and the CEO was just memorable! Oso you stole our heart. The burgers are a must try! The bone marrow with the goat cheese is something I will be dreaming about! Totally recommend this place! The joy of cleaning eating and supporting local businesses you can’t beat it! You can taste the difference instantly! The clean meat and clean ingredients! Delicious! ♥️ Diego, keep doing what you are doing. You got something beautiful going on and we will be back and will be by your side for your growth! Dani, you were an amazing waitress! I finally visited to see what all the hype was about and I was not disappointed. I am a big fan of the small and curated menu. It offers enough diversity in flavors and dishes to satisfy anyone. I also highly recommend their weekend mixology class. The bartenders are knowledgeable and passionate about their craft. A true gem in the RGV.
Diego's is my favorite place for a bite to eat in McAllen and the RGV. I'm grateful it's not too far from my home. Always delicious, always a great vibe. My friend that I took said it best "You can enter Diego's in a sad, stressed or bad mood, but you will leave feeling happy with a smile on your face" I couldn't agree more. I highly recommend this restaurant. I've eaten here so many times and I have so many pictures, this was just my most recent visit.
I walked in the day before Valentine’s Day, and there was hearts and a flower truck. I was greeted and sat right away. I got some tacos and they were absolutely delicious.. I was surprised to see french fries on top of the tacos, but to my surprise, the french fries were unbelievably amazing. 🤩 would definitely put this on the Top food truck list in the Rio Grande Valley.
The food at Diego’s is always so good! I decided to treat myself to a solo lunch, and the customer service was great. They also had cute fall decorations, so I had to snap a picture. I love eating outdoors, there’s nothing better than enjoying a good meal and nice weather. Whenever I’m on that side of town, I always try to stop by.
This place is layback and cool. The vibe is very nice and you can dine inside or outside in a covered lighted area. Our waitress Dani was excellent. She knows her wines and pairings, was instrumental in our food selection, and surprised us with an amazing dessert choice! We got the shrimp and clam pasta, a lamb burger with beat salad. Complimentary chips and salsa were also provided. The pasta was served hot and both the clams and shrimp were cooked perfectly. The lamb burger came with red onion jam, goat cheese, and a slice of fresh tomato. The beat salad had a nicely balanced and blended dressing. Our dessert was killer end to a spectacular evening. Highly recommended and will definitely return to try more dishes.👍
